Hodgy Mixes Animation and Reality to Celebrate Fatherhood in "Glory" Video
The most important bond in the OFWGKTA rapper’s life.
Late last year, Hodgy finally released his long-awaited debut studio album, Fireplace: TheNotTheOtherSide. We covered the project extensively, linking up with the talented emcee for a new installment in our Essentials series and sat down with him to discuss everything from reincarnation to fatherhood in a Life After Reincarnation piece. Continuing to support his first LP as a solo artist, Hodgy follows up the December 2016 clip for “Aura” with new visuals for Fireplace track “Glory.” Part animation, part reality, the latest vignette from Hodgy is both a somewhat trippy journey into his imagination and a grounded documentation of his home-life. When it comes to themes at play in the “Glory” clip, it’s simple and straightforward: fatherhood is everything to the mature, evolving Hodgy.
