Netflix’s 'Watership Down' Trailer Showcases the Ferocious Children's Film in CGI
Starring James McAvoy and John Boyega.
The first trailer for Netflix and BBC‘s Watership Down has arrived, showcasing novelist Richard Adams’ 1972 novel of the same name in modern CGI animation. The footage above showcases our cast of characters and the harrowing lives of these sympathetic bunnies on a quest for a better life.
Set in the pleasant landscapes of southern England, we follow a band of rabbits on their adventure, from the intrusion of man and the destruction of their home, to an idealized paradise. The novel has been remade countless times, but the most memorable is the 1978 film animation from Martin Rosen that showcased more violence and blood than was called for.
This co-production between Netflix and BBC stars British talents such as Daniel Kaluuya, Ben Kingsley, James McAvoy, John Boyega and more.
Check out the trailer above and catch Watership Down on Netflix and the BBC December 22.
