Watch The 1975's “It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You)" Tribute to Talking Heads
Detailed down to the oversized zoot suits.
British pop band The 1975‘s released a surreal music video in tribute to American rock band Talking Heads, as well as to promote their latest album A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships. The “It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You)” music video recreates footage from director Jonathan Demme’s 1984 concert film Stop Making Sense, starring the Talking Heads performing at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in 1983.
Directed by Warren Fu, the footage sees Matty Healy sleeping backstage before a show before the video takes Healy on several surreal trips, that reference the concert film and the band’s penchant for wearing oversized suits.
