UNITED ARROWS & SONS Taps Versace for Exclusive Chain Reaction "Sashiko"
A Japanese twist on the Italian runner.
Versace‘s Chain Reaction sneaker took the fashion world by storm this year, arriving in the midst of the chunky sneaker frenzy and stealing the hearts of industry vets and rappers alike. Among those diehard fans is UNITED ARROWS & SONS’ Poggy, who has recruited the Italian label to deliver a bespoke iteration of its signature runner to the Japanese retailer.
The familiar puffy white sole and Medusa imagery remain, while the upper sports a Japanese-indebted makeup exclusive to this drop. Inspired by traditional handmade sashiko stitches, white threading is woven along the indigo-hued upper, starkly contrasting with the darker mesh, suede and denim panels. Patterned laces complete the striking shoe.
