The Newest Trailer for 'Star Trek: Discovery' Puts Spock Front and Center
Season 2 premieres January 17.
CBS has released another trailer for the upcoming second season of Star Trek: Discovery, highlighting Ethan Peck’s fully-bearded Spock and the perils facing both the USS Discovery and Enterprise.
In the footage above, we see Spock telling his half-sister about a major challenge ahead of them, a “defining moment for multiple civilizations, [and] billions of lives,” teasing an outcome already set in stone during the original Star Trek TV series. Meanwhile, most of the cast is facing seven mysterious red bursts that have occurred across the galaxy, meant to signal the arrival of a being called the Red Angel.
