Run-D.M.C. Reportedly Sues Walmart & Amazon for $50 Million USD
“It’s like that, and that’s the way it is.”

According to a report from TMZ, the Run-D.M.C. brand has sued Walmart, Amazon, Jet.com and other retailers for trademark infringement. The iconic hip-hop group filed a lawsuit claiming the retailers have put their logo on items and are advertising, selling, manufacturing, promoting and distributing the products, leading buyers to believe the group has endorsed the merchandise.
The infringing goods include glasses, hats, T-shirts, patches and wallets. The D.M.C. brand is asking for $50 million USD in damages, as well as “any other relief this Court deems just and equitable.” Run-D.M.C. apparently makes note of their logo’s worth in the suit as they have a $1.6 million USD contract with German sportswear giants adidas.
