Advent Calendar Day 17: Vintage Tactical Military Vest

A highly sought-after piece of history.

Vintage militaria is still at the very forefront of fashion design to this day, consistently providing inspiration for designers that create technical clothing lines. This particular vest is one of the more desirable vintage layering pieces, sourced from the archives of avid collector @itsnothingknew.

Though this style of vest has provided a great deal of inspiration for contemporary fashion brands, this item is a true original. Because it’s in pristine vintage condition, the vest is as sturdy as the day it left the factory — utterly flawless despite its age. A host of pouches, pockets, straps and velcro patches allow for maximum functionality, while the mesh body is both breathable and supportive to the hefty amount of detail.

While unlabeled, the vest fits most sizes from S-L.
