Maintaining the look of the timeless classic, the updated upper is constructed from the sustainable 50% leather fiber material developed by Nike. Aside from lowering the carbon footprint of each shoe created, Flyleather is also lighter and more durable than traditional leather hides. Branding has also been altered with Flyleather tags appearing on the tongue, simple Swooshes at the heel, and insoles printed with the environmental facts of the model. Most recently Flyleather was used on the seamless construction of both the “Black/Dark Grey” and “White/Light Grey” A-COLD-WALL* x Nike Air Force 1 Lows.
Priced at $100 USD, the Nike Air Force 1 Flyleather “Triple Black” is set to release November 23 at select retailers and nike.com.
For more Nike, the Air Force 1 “Satin” flexes a subtle rose embroidery.
