Mac Miller's Cause of Death Revealed

Mac Miller‘s cause of death has finally been revealed after the 26-year-old rapper passed on Friday, September 7 of this year. As reported by People, Miller whose real name is Malcolm James McCormick died from “mixed drug toxicity.” The announcement comes today, Monday, November 5 from The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. It’s revealed that the “manner of death” was certified as an accident and that a mixed drug toxicity involving fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol is the cause of the overdose. There was an autopsy performed on September 8 but further investigations had to be made before cause of death was revealed.

Recently, a celebration of life concert was held in honor of Miller – Travis Scott, John Mayer, SZA, Chance the Rapper, Ty Dolla $ign, Action Bronson, Domo Genesis, Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples, ScHoolboy Q, J.I.D, Anderson .PAAK, Thundercat, and more performed at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles to commemorate their friend. Additionally, this weekend, ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande released the song “Thank You, Next” where she recites the lyrics, ”Wish I could say, ‘Thank you’ to Malcolm / ‘Cause he was an angel” addressing her heartfelt thoughts about Miller.
