Ariana Grande Addresses Mac Miller in New Single “Thank U, Next”
“Thank you to Malcolm, ‘cause he was an angel.”
Pop star Ariana Grande surprised fans this weekend by releasing the new single “Thank U, Next,” which touches upon her relationships with the late Mac Miller, her former fiancé Pete Davidson, and ex-boyfriend Big Sean.
In the single Grande states, “Thought I’d end up with Sean, but it wasn’t a match. Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh. Even almost got married and for Pete, I’m so thankful. Wish I could say, “Thank you” to Malcolm [Miller], ‘Cause he was an angel.” She goes on to say, “One taught me love/One taught me patience/And one taught me pain/Now, I’m so amazing/I’ve loved and I’ve lost/But that’s not what I see/So, look what I got/Look what you taught me.”
After taking sometime off following the death of Miller, Grande is ready to jump back into the swing of her musical career. Take a listen to “Thank U, Next” above which will be featured on her forthcoming fifth studio album of the same name.

The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. Rest.”
