Your Full Look at the Upcoming Union LA x Jordan Brand Collection
Including the previously teased Air Jordan 1 collab.

After teasing the collection with a video trolling sneakerheads at the Rose Bowl, Union has now unveiled its full collaboration with Jordan. The collection encompasses two Jordan 1 colorways and apparel including track pants, hoodies, sweatshirts, tees and shorts in a black, red and blue color palette. The blue-hued items are all Union LA exclusives.
The whole collection is vintage-inspired, with Chris Gibbs explaining that this is the Jordan gear he tends to wear. “The Jordan stuff I wear now is like if I go to a vintage market and I find some really old stuff that’s kind of patinaed or weathered in,” he reveals in a statement, “to me, the vintage nature of it allows you to kind of wear it outside of its intended purpose.”
Referencing the vintage inspiration, the apparel features classic Jordan iconography and is designed to appear weathered and worn. This approach is also used for the sneakers, which have been yellowed on the sole and leather to give them a vintage aesthetic — the uppers and lowers come from different Jordan 1 colorways that have been stitched together. Announcing the collaboration, Gibbs revealed that this was “to make it look as though some kid might have fixed and restitched the shoes throughout the years.”
The full collection will drop via Unionjordan.com on November 17 on a first come first serve basis. There will also be raffles on November 10 and November 11 at a location that will be announced in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for more details in the near future.
