Patta and Roma Publications recently took the wraps off its new project, chronicling a visual history of both Biggie and Tupac as captured by acclaimed Dutch photographer Dana Lixenberg. Tupac Biggie, as it is being called, was designed by highly-respected graphic design duo Mevis & van Deursen, and casts a spotlight on a set of images commissioned by VIBE magazine — in a sense retracing the shoots of both rap icons, which will now be available in full for all to see for the very first time.

Patta thought to create a themed T-shirt to help celebrate the book’s launch while honoring both musical legends. The reversible design features subtle branding on the front with notable images of Biggie and Tupac emblazoned on the back. Moreover, Patta Soundsystem’s Vic Crezée created a mixtape, complete with music and soundbites from each icon to coincide with the shirt’s launch. Tupac Biggie and the commemorative shirt will make its inaugural debut on October 11 at Lixenberg’s GRIMM-based exhibition, before making its way to Patta’s Amsterdam and London locations on October 12.
