Nintendo May Be Developing Theme Parks and Enter into eSports

Universal Studios is building a fourth theme park in Florida that many suspects to be a Nintendo-themed amusement park. There are currently rumors that the Japan location already has a Nintendo Land theme park already in construction while its Orlando location is also building out Nintendo properties for a handful of rides that includes Mario Kart.

The park(s) is believed to be like the Star Wars expansion Disney is currently developing with its own immersive land. Nintendo also has plans to become more formal in regards to eSports, previously being more hands-off in developing events in the past. They’ve already begun so with its Splatoon 2 World Championship and Super Smash Bros. Invitation Tournaments. The company is expected to use the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as the start of its step towards embracing the competitive scene.
