Chance the Rapper Will Give $1 Million to Chicago Mental Health Services

Chance the Rapper announced at the second annual summit for his non-profit SocialWorks that he will donate $1 million USD to mental health services in Chicago. Six different mental wellness providers will each receive $100,000 grants as part of the donation.
SocialWorks has also announced a new initiative called My State of Mind which will focus on improving mental health resources in Cook County, IL. for individuals who are seeking treatment. Members of the Illinois Department of Human Services and the Chicago Department of Public Health were on hand for the announcements.
In addition, Chano will continue supporting the public school system within Chicago, sharing that he plans to give money to 20 additional Chicago Public Schools.
Currently, Chance The Rapper is working on Good Ass Job, his collaborative album with Kanye West. Yeezy announced the new project in front of the Chicago audience at Chance’s Open Mike event.
