The 73rd Golden Globes Awards took place tonight and it was an exciting evening for fans of movies and music alike. UK superstar Sam Smith won the Best Original Song for a motion picture with Spectre‘s “Writing’s on the Wall,” beating out nominees Ellie Goulding for Fifty Shades of Grey‘s “Love me Like You Do,” Brian Wilson for Love & Mercy‘s “One Kind of Love,” Charlie Puth for Furious 7‘s “See You Again,” and David Lang’s “Simple Song #3” for Youth. Ennio Morricone won Best Original Score for The Hateful Eight, beating out Carter Burwell, Alexander Desplat, Daniel Pemberton and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
