To honor its 130th anniversary, National Geographic is chronicling all of its magazine covers in a new video. The video is part of a monthly digital series that will delve into all the rare artifacts Nat Geo has uncovered throughout the years.
The first issue was founded by members of D.C.’s scientific and intellectual circles in 1888, where they formed the organization “for the increase and diffusion of geographic knowledge.” In the short video above, watch the evolution of Nat Geo‘s iconic covers as it recalls some of its most famous milestones along the way. Recently, the publication highlighted its best photos of 2017.
