mita sneakers and hummel Present a "Danish Pastry" Marathona OG
Reconvening at the breakfast table for 2018.

Following up on the brand’s recent joint release with Fairfax’s 424, hummel rejoins with Japan’s mita sneakers for a collaborative release centering around the Marathona OG silhouette, which the pair reworked in September 2017.
2016 saw the duo link up on a shoe saluting the open-faced Danish smørrebrød sandwich, and this release takes cues from Danish pastries. Fruit jam inspires the red hues of the shoe’s pigskin suede, with a marigold sockliner referencing flaky crust. The sneaker’s off-white midsole is another nod to sugary toppings. The shoe comes packaged in a shoebox that takes cues from puff pastries, topped off with a dot of pink icing.
The “Danish Pastry” launches on Hanon’s website February 3. P.E. Nation also served up a reworked runner with a retro-leaning Reebok Classic Nylon.
