Listen to Jorja Smith & Stormzy's New Collaborative Track, "Let Me Down"
The 20-year old songstress shares her first single of 2018.
After wrapping up a successful 2017 campaign that included her first ever North American tour and a BRITS Critic’s Choice Award, Jorja Smith has already had a remarkable career for a 20-year-old. Not to mention, she’s doing this all independently. Today, she drops off her first new track of the year, an instantly relatable ballad titled “Let Me Down” featuring UK grime artist Stormzy. In a press release, Smith says about the single, “A dream of mine is to write a Bond theme tune. When I am writing music I sometimes envision a video playing along side. ‘Let me down’ sounded quite Bondy and when I was listening to it I imagined it being played in a Bond film but during a scene when James Bond has gone down into an underground, dimly lit, secret bar and he approaches the Bond girl who is sitting at the bar looking very guilty because she’s done something bad and let him down.”
“Let Me Down” was debuted on Beats 1 as Zane Lowe’s World Record moments ago and can be heard up above as well as via all digital music streaming platforms.
