TDE had a monstrous year in 2017, much in part to two prolific albums: one from Kendrick Lamar in DAMN., the other SZA‘s breakout effort, CTRL. The TDE duo not only garnered critical acclaim, but also appeared on a number of year-end lists including HYPEBEAST’s Top 10 Albums/Mixtapes of 2017. In addition, K.Dot and SZA are also up for several Grammy nominations in 2018 including album of the year, best new artist, and best rap/sung performance, amongst a multitude of other categories.

Now with 2017 behind them, TDE is gearing up for what will hopefully be another big year and they’re starting things off with the collective’s silent king himself, Jay Rock. Today, the Watts rapper debuted his new track “Kings Dead” featuring Kendrick Lamar and Future on The Breakfast Club as part of the upcoming Black Panther soundtrack. This will presumably serve as Rock’s first single as well, in support of his long-rumored album set to drop (hopefully) in 2018.

The song will officially debut at 11 p.m. EST tonight.
