After months of unique promotional tactics, Gorillaz have finally dropped off a new record. Taking power to task, the legendary group and Mercury Prize winner Benajmin Clementine emerge with the politically-charged lead single in support of the new Gorillaz album. Titled “Hallelujah Money,” the song serves as our first taste of the Gorillaz’s next major project and finds its debut via official video. Directed by Gorillaz and Giorgio Testi, the vignette for “Hallelujah Money” features its Trump Tower-based collaborator over a backdrop of animation and old footage.

“Dark times – u need someone to look up to. Me. Here’s a lightning bolt of truth in a black night. Now piss on! New stuff won’t write itself,” reads the accompanying “Hallelujah Money” statement on the Gorillaz official Twitter account.

You can check out “Hallelujah Money” above, and keep an eye out for more information regarding the next Gorillaz LP.
