Former YEEZY Designer Salehe Bembury Will Be Versace's New Head of Sneaker Design
A fresh new look for the high-fashion house.

According to sources, it appears as though footwear design maverick Salehe Bembury has taken his talents over to luxury design house Versace to spearhead its sneaker division. The enigmatic artist has, over the years, worked with a handful of noted brands, including direct-to-consumer label, GREATS, as well as Kanye’s YEEZY line — developing both its Season 3 and Season 4 collections, respectively.
Bembury got his first big break as a member of Cole Haan’s “Innovation” team — helping to devise the label’s esteemed LunarGrand silhouette. As the new Head of Sneaker Design, the high-fashion imprint will surely bank on Bembury’s grassroots streetwear styling, in hopes of turning new sets of eyes over in its direction. While Bembury has yet to announce an official statement, be sure to check back as the story unfolds.
