A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Making of the Leica M10
Expert craftsmanship at its best.
At the start of this year, Leica captured headlines across the web with the introduction of its M10 camera. We even profiled the item back in February, taking a closer look to analyze its highlights, size, performance and technical operations. Courtesy of video director and photographer Richard Seymour, we’re now receiving a well-polished, visual exploration of the M10.
Taking viewers back to the Leica M10‘s German origins, Seymour heads out to a manufacturing facility in Wetzlar, Germany to document the behind-the-scenes processes that produce the coveted camera. Over the course of four minutes and some change, Seymour and Leica reveal the intricate procedures that bring the M10 to life. From start to finish, the Leica M10’s creation is an exercise in artisan-level craftsmanship, refined and precise at each step.

Back in July, Leica also shared plans for the next entry in the TL series of cameras.
