Watch How Dickies' Photographer Used a 8x10 Camera to Capture UK's Creative Talents
A BTS look at the street-shot portrait series.

Dickies celebrated its signature 874 work pant’s 50th anniversary with a new campaign, titled “How Do You Wear Yours?” The photo series, shot by George Muncey on an 8×10 large format camera, took to the streets of England and tapped local UK-based creatives — skateboarders, musicians, barbers, boot makers and the like — to show how they wear their workwear trousers.
The 9-minute video below gives a behind-the-scenes look at how Muncey gave his portraits a realistic feeling. The photographer brings us on his three-day task to capture his subjects in their “natural habitat” and against a more sharply defined white background, while giving us insight into the teamwork, lighting difficulties and craftsmanship involved in using an 8×10 large format film camera.
