Watch as Jesse From 'The Fast and the Furious' Reunites With His Jetta After 16 Years
With the help of overnight parts from Germany.
Arguably one of the most quoted phrases of all-time, “Too soon, Junior” from the original 2001 film The Fast and the Furious was set into motion all thanks to a famous race sequence featuring Johnny Tran’s (Rick Yune) Honda S2000 and Jesse’s (Chad Lindberg) Volkswagen Jetta. Now, 16 years later — thanks to the car gods — one of the Fast & Furious franchise’s most beloved characters is finally reunited with his Jetta courtesy of a tuning shop in Quebec, Canada that rebuilt one to the exact specs of the original.
If Chad Lindberg wasn’t so taken aback, he probably would’ve said the prayer from the film. Instead, he is filled with emotion as he makes a couple of rounds to check out the car and fires it up before taking photos with everyone — one of the guys even jokes with him about the Tran scene and Chad takes it like a champ. Since the original Jetta from the movie was sold to actor Frankie Muniz, it’s a joy for fans of the F&F franchise to watch the video above as Chad is reunited with an exact replica.
Watch and wait for the 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse built to the specs of Brian O’Conner’s (Paul Walker) to make a surprise appearance too.
