Nintendo World Championships Return This Fall, Qualifying Starts Soon

Nintendo has announced the return of the Nintendo World Championships today, marking its official return since 2015 and 1990, respectively. The Nintendo World Championships is a multi-game tournament, with this year’s qualifying game being Mario Kart 7 for the Nintendo 3DS family. There are also two competition pools for people 12 and younger, as well as 13 and older. The tournament kicks off this month and if you want to compete, you can find your closest qualifying city on the Nintendo World Championships website.
Games for later stages of the tournament have not yet been announced but the finals will take place on October 7 in New York City at Manhattan Center’s Grand Ballroom. Let us know if you’ll be trying out.
