Clip Resurfaces of Ye Admitting That Drake Inspired the Making of His and JAY-Z's 'Watch the Throne'

Drake has just uploaded a string of new content on his 100gigs.org website. Recently dropping three new songs, Drake has also released new behind-the-scene, never-before-seen- clips from past recording sessions, shows and more. Amongst the videos uploaded was a resurfaced footage of Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, performing at OVO Fest back in 2013.
During the festival, Ye revealed that his and JAY-Z‘s Watch The Throne album was inspired by Drake. In the clip, Ye can be heard praising Drake for “doing something like this for they city.” He later admitted, “Me and Hov would’ve never made Watch The Throne if this n***a [Drake] wasn’t putting pressure on us like that.” The resurfaced clip shows that Ye and Drake were once peers who got along in the same industry. Prior to all the beef and drama, the duo showed respect to one another. Years later, they would perform on the same stage again for Ye’s Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert.
100gigs.org is Drake’s newly launched website, where he posts clips of new and old tracks for his fans. Controlling the narrative, the website gives fans a glimpse of the rapper’s inside circle and his come up.
