This costs more than most mansions.

Steve McQueen‘s world-renowned Porsche 917 finally hit the auction floor. This past weekend, Gooding and Company put the iconic luxury vehicle up for bidding, making it the most expensive Porsche in existence. Restored in 2001, the 917 sold at a Pebble Beach event for an astounding $14,080,000 USD. Best-known for its inclusion in the 1971 Steve McQueen and Lee H. Katzin film Le Mans, this particular Porsche 917 might just be the most famous automobile to ever be manufactured by the German company.
