Eminem has returned to the battle rap scene in the upcoming film Bodied. Picking up from where he left off back in 2002 with 8 Mile, Marshall Mathers’ comeback is slightly different as his role shifts to producer for the forthcoming project. Bodied will be directed by Joseph Kahn who has also helmed music videos for Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, U2, and of course Eminem. The film’s script is written by former battle rap champion, Alex “Kid Twist” Larsen as he captures battle rap’s tension and heightened levels of disrespect.

You can witness amazing artists treat the battle rap scene like the boxing ring as Bodied makes its debut at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival in September.
