The ASUS ZenFone Will Essentially Be Able to Map the World Around You
Utilizing both augmented and virtual reality technology.

ASUS‘ new ZenFone AR is now available for preorder through Verizon and is boasted as the only smartphone that lets you experience both AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality) using one device.
The ZenFone AR and the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro are the only two phones equipped with Tango technology, which effectively uses the handset’s cameras and sensors to detect objects, depth and effectively adds virtual object through the camera viewfinder. This will theoretically enable the phone to map its surroundings in real time for future applications. Daydream allows the ZenPhone to be docked inside of a VR Headset made by Google or certified third-parties that allow it to access Android based VR apps. Other specs include 5.5-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB of memory, a 3300 mAh battery, and a 23-megapixel camera to the rear.
ASUS’ new ZenFone AR is now available for preorder at Verizon for $648 USD no strings attached or $27 per month on a leasing plan.
