Over $6 Million USD Worth of Fake 'Pokémon' Plush Toys Seized in South Korea

In South Korea authorities have seized over $6 million USD worth of fake Pokémon plush toys. According to reports, the illegal Chinese-made goods were smuggled in between April 25-June 2 and included more than 530,000 fake plushies. Once discovered, authorities immediately removed the toys from arcades where they were circulating as crane game prizes. The confiscated goods include characters from all generations of Pokémon games and have since been organized into a holding room where they’re sorted by character. It is unclear what the South Korean authorities plan to do moving forward with all the fakes.
