Watch KFC Launch Its Crispy Zinger Chicken Sandwich to Space
“In space, no one can hear you snack.”
This past April, KFC promised to send its Zinger chicken sandwich to the edge of the atmosphere alongside surprising news that actor Rob Lowe is the new Colonel Sanders. Just recently, the crispy chicken mainstay launched the spicy snack into space using a high-altitude balloon in collaboration with A World View Enterprises. The Zinger was encased in a new stratollite vehicle which took off from the desert plains of Arizona just last Thursday. The flight was expected to last for approximately four days, but controllers decided to bring the chicken home “due to a small leak in one of the company’s innovative new altitude-control balloon systems,” World View CEO Jane Poynter said in a statement.
Nonetheless, watch KFC’s delectable Zinger Sandwich make its galactic voyage above.
