Elon Musk Relaunches X.Com in Cryptic Fashion
Right now it’s just an ‘x’ on a plain white page.

Earlier this week, Tesla’s Elon Musk repurchased the X.com domain name he previously lost after leaving PayPal. Now, Musk has relaunched the site — although there is very little on there and no news as to what the site will be used for. Taking to Twitter, the entrepreneur described the site as being “a little verbose right now, but that will be fixed in the morning.” If you visit the website now you are greeted by a plain white page with a tiny ‘x’ in the top left corner, but an announcement is expected very soon that should indicate why Musk rebought the site and what he plans to do with it.
When X was first founded, it was a financial service and email payment company that operated as a precursor to PayPal. When Musk initially repurchased it, he claimed that he had “no plans right now” for the site, but had bought it because “it has great sentimental value to me.”
In other Elon Musk news, Tesla has just won the bid to construct the world’s largest lithium-ion battery in Australia.
