With the brand’s name translating from French as “materials,” its not surprising that LA based design lab Matiere places such a focus on the materials used in its collections. For its 2018 spring/summer offering, which was shown at this season’s New York Fashion Week: Men’s, this emphasis hasn’t changed, with the brand mixing eco-friendly fabrics with innovative and high-tech materials. The collection itself sees the brand take on some classic pieces, with an array of light jackets and key transitional pieces. In terms of the color palette, the spring/summer collection featured mostly blacks and greys, although they were mixed with pieces in pink and reflective materials.

You can take a look through Matiere’s 2018 spring/summer collection above. Also make sure that you’re up to date with our coverage from New York Fashion Week Men’s.
