'Bangarang: The Hook Prequel' Explores Rufio's Origin Story Before Joining the Lost Boys
Actor Dante Basco releases the film on YouTube after hitting his Kickstarter campaign goal.
After smashing his original goal of $30,000 USD and raising just over $68,000 on Kickstarter, actor Dante Basco made good on his promise and released a short film called Bangarang: The Hook Prequel. Debuting on Basco’s YouTube channel, the 17-minute short film explores the early life of Rufio, who was originally played by Basco and was a part of the Lost Boys in Steven Spielberg’s 1991 film Hook. Rufio, who goes by his original name Roofus in the film, embraces the power of his imagination to overcome his doubters and find his true place in life.
