The Nike Air Max 98 Could Be Making a Return Soon
This year will be the model’s 20th anniversary.
Recent photos of the Air Max 98 model in vintage colorways, such as OG “Gundam,” have surfaced on the Internet, fueling speculations that Nike may be planning a big comeback for the retro model this year. This move would make sense under Nike’s retro-ing pattern, considering that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the 98 model and the fact that Nike massively pushed for the Air Max 97‘s comeback last year.
The AM 98 model made a low-key return in 2014 and a more hyped appearance via a Supreme collaboration last year. Otherwise, the model has been quite reserved in appearances.
