United Arrows & Sons Partners Up With SearchNDesign to Present The Bifida Sneaker

Japanese brand United Arrows & Sons and SearchNDesign have collaborated and showcased The Bifida sneaker — the result of an amalgamation of a modern tennis shoe and a traditional Japanese “Tabi” style split-toe footwear that was worn back in the Heian period (794-1185). The all white leather shoe has a contrasting detailing at the heel, boasting luxurious black and white leather.
SearchNDesign is an anonymous design consultancy that has helped brands such as Fear of God and Nick Wooster in bringing their iconic designs to life. Poggy, creative director of United Arrows & Sons, met the SearchNDesign team back at Pitti Uomo 2016 and both sides immediately agreed to work together on a creative exploration. The exclusive project which combines the long-standing Japanese traditional culture with a modern, staple shoe have made the Bifida come true.
The price and exact release date has yet to be confirmed. However, the shoe will be available at United Arrows & Sons and its online store at the end of June.
