'Metroid' Is Coming to the Nintendo Switch
Is Samus making a triumphant return?
Metroid fans, rejoice: the Prime series is finally making a return.
Nintendo took to E3 today to officially announce that Metroid Prime 4 is in development for the Switch. The long-awaited installment is set to be the first proper Metroid release since 2007’s Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Wii — the Wii U, inexplicably, didn’t even get an original Metroid game. Sadly, details on the game remain almost completely unknown — Nintendo merely dropped a brief teaser and said “Metroid Prime 4 is currently in development for Nintendo Switch.”
So will Samus make a return? Will the game follow the events of Corruption, which wrapped up the original Prime trilogy?
Stay tuned.
