A Closer Look at Gucci's New Chunky and Technical Sneaker
Continuing the pre-distressed kicks trend.
One of the standouts from Gucci‘s recent cruise 2018 spring/summer collection was the debut of a new sneaker silhouette. The chunky and technical model shows a white/off-white colorway and distressing on the upper and midsole. The kicks also come with subtle Gucci branding on the heel and tongue. Now that images have emerged, the sneaker has drawn comparisons to recent releases from Balenciaga as well as Raf Simons’ adidas Ozweegos due to its oversized and technical appearance. The new silhouette will be dropping later this year as part of Gucci’s cruise collection for 2018 spring/summer.
As well as premiering the sneakers, Gucci has also recently released a pre-fall collection exclusively at Dover Street Market.
