More Nike Cortez Colorways With "Jewel" Swooshes Are Coming out This Summer
Stay true to the classics.
Nike Sportswear has unveiled yet two more retro colorways for its iconic Cortez sneaker. The shoe that kicked off Nike’s meteoric rise in the footwear industry 45 years ago is back in black/white and white/metallic silver. Both sneakers have clean monochrome finishes, contrasting midsoles, and silver lace keepers with the year ‘72 — a nod to the date when Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman developed the track shoe. The predominately white editions feature a sleek, silver trim and a metallic jewel swoosh, while the black leather silhouette includes a crisp white trim and a white jewel swoosh.
Nike has re-released an assortment of classic Cortez sneakers, including the “Rare Ruby,” “Black Diamond,” “Oregon,” and a “Compton” edition. Look for these to hit Nike.com very soon.
