Sonny Digital Wants to Form a Union to Protect Music Producers
“Producers union coming soon to dead all these problems.”

Sonny Digital, the Atlanta producer behind hit songs for the likes of Future, Kanye West and Gucci Mane is tired of music producers not getting their due shine. In a new Instagram video, the producer told his followers he wants to start his own union in order to protect all music producers, stating, “Why don’t producers get nominated for shit and we do all the fucking basework and shit, though? Don’t get no awards, don’t get no recognition. All the artists just sweep up everything. All I’m saying, y’all need to start respecting the producers a little more, big or small, in between, it don’t matter they making all the sounds to this shit.”
Sonny would eventually go on Twitter to carry over his thoughts and found he was praised by a number of producers, including Flying Lotus:
Every person on XXL cover should OF had the producer of whatever song that got them on the XXL COVER with them on the cover.
