TDE President Punch Drops First Track of 2017, "2010 Vision"
Is an album on the way?
Top Dawg Entertainment’s SZA began the month with the release of her long-awaited CTRL album, and now the spotlight is being shined on another member of the TDE crew. Continuing to drop loose tracks, TDE President Punch has released a new record titled “2010 Vision.” As Punch explains via Soundcloud:
“So my friend @answer_elle sent me a record she recorded called “American Dad” awhile ago. The song was always stuck in my head because her voice inflection and tonality is extremely distinctive. Also then the different melodies she used where just hypnotic i had my guy @RealHBeats flip her vocals and guitar. it inspired reflection.”
This new release from Punch serves as the TDE leader’s first solo effort of 2017; previously, Punch revealed plans to drop his very own album as well. Even though there are other talented artists ahead of him when it comes to TDE’s release strategy, let’s hope a Punch project will land before year’s end. You can stream “2010 Vision” below.
