A Look Inside Balenciaga's Madison Avenue Store in New York City
Envisioned by Demna Gvasalia.

Trailing behind the opening of its fourth store in Paris is Balenciaga’s brand new establishment in the heart of New York City. Located on Madison Avenue, the fledgling retail space spans a generous 1,800 square-feet and features interior design cues envisioned by creative director Demna Gvasalia himself. The boutique is fitted with fluorescent lights, glass, and textured concrete for a minimalist urban look. Moreover, foil-covered rails descend from the ceiling, fitting rooms are covered in silicone, benches are wrapped in synthetic leather and aluminum display tables are sprawled throughout. Not to mention, the store also boasts three statues from American artist Mark Jenkins.
As far as the wares go, the store will contain both men’s and women’s collections alongside the latest accessories from the French luxury fashion house. Conclusively, this marks the third Balenciaga store in the Big Apple with two additional stores on Mercer Street in SoHo. The space once belonged to Gucci.
