Back in January, Demna Gvasalia‘s statement-making Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2017 runway show was a big nod to Bernie Sanders and normcore — a subgenre that some people are now calling “Berncore.” The pop culture-infused collection featured a heavy dose of oversized garments, glorified office style and sartorial irony, all of which is now available to pre-order on Balenciaga’s website. The collection will arrive in-store on June 6.
We expect to see the polarizing Triple-S sneakers and exaggerated windbreakers to take over IG streams and street style feeds during the next wave of trends, hopefully giving the IKEA mania a rest. Share your thoughts in the comments below.
