adidas Recreates the Shoes From Wes Anderson's 'The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou'
Only 100 pairs exist in the world.

Wes Anderson fans, rejoice. adidas has unveiled a new Rom iteration inspired by one of Wes Anderson’s most iconic films, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. The vibrant low-top sneaker is exactly the same ones worn by the notorious Steve Zissou — the protagonist in the cult movie, played by Bill Murray. The shoes were actually released in a very secretive manner during the We Love Green festival in Paris, France. The only reason why adidas released the shoes at the festival was because Brazilian musician Seu Jorge had a performance — the artist helmed the role of Pelé Dos Santos in the comedy.
As far as design cues go, the retro model is equipped with a white leather upper alongside yellow details and topped off with a gum sole. “Zissou” gold text is embroidered next to the Three Stripes insignia that is rendered in the colors of team Zissou. The adidas Rom Zissou will not be available to purchase. Only 100 limited edition pairs were made for the festival.
