Watch the First Trailer for Seth MacFarlane's 'Star Trek' Parody TV Show
‘The Orville’ is coming to Fox later this year.
The first trailer for The Orville, a sci-fi parody written by Seth MacFarlane, has been released. The trailer shows MacFarlane’s character placed in charge of an exploratory vessel, the U.S.S. Orville, before being joined by his ex-wife, played by Adrianne Palicki, as the spaceship’s first officer. Other crew members from the Orville are also introduced in the trailer, including an alien called Bortus and Yaphit, a translucent yellow blob. The show, which is set 400 years in the future, will follow the Orville and its crew through outer space. The Orville is dropping on Fox this fall and is currently set for Thursday nights at 9 p.m., with executive producer Jon Favreau directing the pilot.
