Playboi Carti Believes the Raf Simons & Supreme Trend Is "Slowing Up"
“I buy pieces for the crib, like Bearbricks, skate decks, posters. I’m getting into interior design.”
After sitting down with Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning to talk A$AP Rocky, “mumble rap” and hip-hop’s legends, chart-climbing rapper Playboi Carti links up with GQ for a new feature. Uniting with the mag for a photoshoot and interview, Carti shares his thoughts on fashion, the success of “Magnolia,” and music. “I shop at Grailed to get things I’ve always wanted. Classic pieces from Undercover, Raf [Simons], Boris [Bidjan Saberi], Rick Owens. And I love Supreme too,” Carti shares, also stating that he believes the Supreme and Raf Simons trend is “slowing up.” “I buy pieces for the crib, like Bearbricks, skate decks, posters. I’m getting into interior design. I bought some white couches recently on some Belly shit.”
Elsewhere, the “wokeuplikethis” artist reveals that he wants to add “live instruments” to his next round of releases and the successes he’s experienced while on tour and performing. You can check out Playboi Carti’s new GQ piece in its entirety here.
