Lil Yachty is opening up about the attention-grabbing artwork for his debut album Teenage Emotions. Speaking to Genius for a new feature, Yachty explains the Teenage Emotions cover as something that covers all the “aspects of teenage life.” “I thought about all the things I saw in high school for the first time that I had never experienced before” Yachty explains, singling out obesity, homosexuality, vitiligo and albinism.

You can check out a clip of Lil Yachty explaining the Teenage Emotions cover below, while the album itself will arrive next week on Friday, May 26. Most recently, Yachty reconnected with fast-rising Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley for the video in support of their joint single “From the D to the A.” At the beginning of the month, Yachty also unveiled a video for the Teenage Emotions track “Bring It Back.”
