Karl Lagerfeld Made a $545 USD Stuffed Version of His Pet Cat
Only 2,000 plush Choupettes will be available.

Chanel‘s creative lead Karl Lagerfeld has created a stuffed toy version of his beloved cat Choupette. The plush toy, which will retail for £420 GBP (approximately $545 USD), is made in collaboration with German toy company Steiff and will be limited to just 2,000 pieces. “Steiff is the perfect choice for this kind of collaboration. It’s the only company that has the required expertise to highlight the extreme and absolute refinement of this young princess,” Lagerfeld said in a statement.
Each stuffed Choupette will come with a signed certificate, apparently by Choupette, as well as a brief note that reads:
“Hi, I’m Choupette. Without modesty, I am the most famous cat in the world. I must admit I was born under a lucky star — at a very young age, I met the man of my dreams: Karl Lagerfeld! It really was immediate and mutual ‘love at first sight!’”
Choupette will be available on May 23 at STYLEBOP. Share your thoughts in the comments below.
