Tracy McGrady Headlines the 2017 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class
Eleven total standouts will be inducted on September 8.
Last December, Tracy McGrady was nominated for the 2017 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class and was caught in complete surprise but today, he headlines the 11-person class. TMac will lead a class which also includes Bill Self, Rebecca Lobo, Muffet McGraw, Robert Hughes, Jerry Krause, George McGinnis, Nikos Galis, Zack Clayton, Mannie Jackson and Tom Jernstedt. Arguably one of NBA’s most elite shooters and dazzling playmakers, the seven-time NBA All-Star and two-time NBA Scoring Champion will always be fondly remembered for the time he dropped 13 points in 35 seconds in a Houston Rockets jersey. However, TMac fans will also undoubtedly remember all the times him and Vince Carter caused havoc in Toronto and for all the magical memories and self-alley-oops he created as a member of the Orlando Magic. TMac said, “I couldn’t believe it. I had him repeat it again” when he received the call. Anyone that has watched the guard play will definitely believe it.
