Nike's Boston Marathon-Winning Shoe Drops This Summer
Say hello to the Zoom Vaporfly 4%.
After dominating the Boston Marathon earlier this week, Nike‘s Zoom Vaporfly 4% is on tap for a retail debut later this summer. Worn by men’s first, second and third place finishers Geoffrey Kirui, Galen Rupp and Suguru Osako, as well as women’s winner Edna Kiplagat and third place finisher Jordan Hasay, the design couples a responsive ZoomX midsole with a full-length energy loss-minimizing carbon plate. The result? A shoe that’s 4% more efficient than the Swoosh’s previous fastest marathon footwear — hence the name.
The Zoom Vaporfly 4% drops June 8.
